We believe strong communities are built by strong individuals. That’s why we’re setting a big goal — with big prizes — for April 2020. We will update you once the challenge has been rescheduled.
As part of our own goal to give back, we’ve secured a pledge from our sponsors to donate $1 to our partner charities for every entry in the contest.
WHAT YOU CAN WIN
We have a total of 8 prizes up for grabs! The top prizes will be merit-based and dependant upon how many total entries you submit. Others will be picked at random — so keep sharing your progress to boost your odds of winning! The more entries you have, the better your chance is at getting picked.
The winner of the competition will get a one-of-a-kind trip to your choice of Chicago, Denver, or San Diego to attend one of our Fitness Festivals!
2ND & 3RD PLACE
If you try hard but don’t quite claim the top prize, we’ll be rewarding you with Sponsor Prizes & Packages worth between $250-500!
To give everyone a shot at winning, we’ll be selecting winners each week at random to win Step Outside 2020 or STRENGTH IN THE CITY swag!
ANYONE CAN WIN
When it’s all said and done, we’ll select one last winner at random. So even if you won’t finish in the top three, there will still be a chance to win an amazing prize!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Ready to step outside the boundaries of your everyday life? Our challenge is organized around a hashtag campaign that tracks your progress. Here’s how to get started.
It’s simple: You win by making a positive impact on yourself and those around you through a variety of activities encompassing physical fitness, mental wellness and community engagement.
Choose Your Activity
There are lots of ways you can enter the contest: Endure a workout, visit our partner gyms, take a mental health break, practice yoga, volunteer in your local community, or join one of our events.
Share Your Progress
Post an image of your activity on Instagram and in the caption (not the comments) use the hashtag #StepOutsideChallenge and mention @strengthinthecity to submit an entry. Profiles must be public so our team can see the posts. We’ll keep track of the progress to select the winners.

THE FINE PRINT
You earn points each time you participate in an activity and post under our campaign hashtag, #StepOutsideChallenge. But you can also increase your chance of winning big prizes by visiting our partner gyms and joining our events.
Take part in any of our suggested activities and record your progress on Instagram under our campaign hashtag, #StepOutsideChallenge.
Partake in one of the campaign activities with one of our dedicated partners. Just be sure to add their name to the end of #StepOutsideChallenge__ and @mention them as well on Instagram!

We want to see how you’re stepping outside your routine this month, so we’re making room for your ideas as well. Maybe you’re planning to cross an item off your bucket list or pick up trash in your local park. Post under the #StepOutsideChallenge hashtag on Instagram and we’ll award you points!
